Pirate Crew Character Concepts | Stylized Animal Cast

Not every pirate crew sails the seas in search of treasure - some become the treasure themselves.

This collection showcases a series of stylized pirate character concepts created by the Argentics team. The cast features a variety of anthropomorphic animals, each designed with a distinct silhouette, personality, and role within the crew. From the weary rabbit captain and cunning fox adventurer to eccentric rats, ducks, and other colorful rogues, every character was crafted to feel instantly recognizable and memorable.

Our goal was to explore expressive shape language, strong visual storytelling, and a playful cartoon aesthetic while maintaining a cohesive art direction across the entire crew. Special attention was given to character hierarchy, proportions, costume design, and facial expressions to ensure each pirate could tell a story at a glance.

These concepts were developed as part of an exploration into creating a charming and humorous cast for a stylized adventure game world.
